Itinerary

Reception at the Comodoro Rivadavia airport and transfer to Los Antiguos visiting the Sarmiento Petrified Forest on the way, anticipating arriving at your destination around 5:00 p.m. Accommodation at Hostería Antigua Patagonia
Day destined to make the navigation to the Marble Chapels and discover the vertiginous path, partly of cornice, that crosses the mountain range, runs along the southern coast of the lake and the transition from the steppe to the Andean Patagonian forest and then join an exclusive navigation to the Marble Chapels.

NOTE The planned excursion implies crossing the border into Chile, if this is not possible at the time of the excursion, the original program will be modified. Instead, we will offer our journey along Route 41 to travel this scenic road that in less than 100km ascends from 200m high to 1500m, thus being the highest road in Southern Patagonia and crossing four well-differentiated environments: steppe, Andean forest, high altitude grassland and high mountains.
Accommodation at Antigua Patagonia Lodge.
We begin the tour taking Route 40, spotting a large amount of native fauna, crossing the Cañadón Caracoles until we arrive at the Cueva de las Manos Interpretation Center.

The deep canyon of the Pinturas River is home to the most important archaeological site in Patagonia. In the so-called Cueva de las Manos, the passage of man through the area has been recorded, reflected in cave paintings, over a period of almost ten thousand years. The proposal consists of emulating our ancestors and accessing the site by the same footprint that they knew how to use in ancient times.
After this visit, we will explore in a simple trekking the striking Lands of Colors to finally stay at La Posta de los Toldos, within the Portal Pinturas of Patagonia Park. It is a new nature refuge for hiking, stargazing, and wildlife viewing and interpretation led by the Rewilding Argentina Foundation.
