Day 1: Puerto Natales – Trekking to Serón Sector

Description of the Day:

Your first day on the O circuit begins with a welcome email that provides crucial technical information to prepare you for the trip. At 7:00 a.m., you will take a bus from Puerto Natales to the Torres del Paine National Park, a journey of approximately 2:30 hours. Upon arrival, you will begin a walk through the Enchanted Valley and a lenga forest, finally arriving at the Serón Sector. During this hike, you will be surrounded by pure nature, with unique views of the Paine massif and the possibility of observing a special lichen known as “old man’s beard.”

Activities: Bus transfer from Puerto Natales and 4-6 hour walk, 13 km.

Difficulty: Medium (Cumulative height: 250 meters above sea level).

Accommodation: Serón Sector (camping only).

Day 2: Trekking to Dickson Sector

Description of the Day:

This long but rewarding day will take you along the slopes of the Paine Massif, with climbs and descents that offer spectacular views of the landscape. When you reach Camp Dickson, located next to a huge lake and surrounded by mountains, it will seem surreal. The fluffy clouds and serenity of the place create a breathtaking scene that rewards all the effort put in during the day.

Activities: Trekking of 6-8 hours, 18 km.

Difficulty: High (Cumulative height: 200 meters above sea level).

Day 3: Trekking to Los Perros Sector

Description of the Day:

With a shorter walk ahead, take the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The day begins early with views of the mountains and snow-capped peaks, advancing towards a beech forest. Here, the trees will protect you from the elements and you can hear the drumming of the Magellanic woodpeckers. The day culminates with the impressive view of the Los Perros Glacier, over a calm and gray lagoon.

Day 4: Trekking to Gray Sector

Description of the Day:

This day is one of the most challenging but also one of the most spectacular. The hike starts early, moving through swampy terrain and then climbing steeply toward John Gardner Pass. From the top, you’ll have stunning views of the Southern Ice Field. As you descend, you will marvel at the views of Gray Glacier, offering a unique and unforgettable visual experience.

Activities: Trekking of 9-12 hours, 15 kms.

Difficulty: High (Initial Altitude: 620 meters above sea level, Maximum: 1,241 meters above sea level).

Accommodation: Gray Sector.

Day 5: Trekking to Paine Grande Sector

Description of the Day:

This day marks the beginning of the W Circuit, exploring the best-known attractions of the Torres del Paine National Park. It is a more relaxed day, walking along the mountainside and through Antarctic beech forests. Enjoy the diversity of flora and fauna, and the views of Cerro Paine Grande. When you arrive at the camp, you can relax next to Lake Pehoé.

Activities: 4-hour trek, 11 km.

Day 6: Trekking to French Valley

Trekking to the French Sector

Description of the Day:

The sixth day takes you to the magnificent French Valley. This trek is ideal to align your mind and body with nature, surrounded by mountains and the sound of water. You will pass by a waterfall and you will be able to fill your bottle with pure, cold water. At the viewpoint, you will be rewarded with one of the most impressive views of the entire circuit.

Activities: Trekking of 8-9 hours, 20.5 km.

Difficulty: High (Initial Altitude: 100 meters above sea level, Maximum: 762 meters above sea level).

Day 7: Trekking Central Sector

Description of the Day:

The walk along the shore of Lake Nordenskjöld is calm and picturesque, with views of Monte Almirante Nieto and its hanging glaciers. The silence and grandeur of the landscape invite you to enjoy the moment, observing birds such as condors. You will continue along the Arriero River until you reach the highest viewpoint, offering a complete view of the lake and the French Glacier.

Activities: Trekking of 4-5 hours, 14 km.

Day 8: Las Torres Base Viewpoint

Trekking to Las Torres Base

Description of the Day:

The last day of Circuit O is one of the most iconic. The walk begins by ascending through the Patagonian pampas and the Ascencio Valley, until reaching Paso de Los Vientos with its panoramic views. You will pass through the Chilean Sector and a lenga forest before reaching the final stretch, which culminates with the impressive view of the three granite towers and its glacial lagoon. Afterwards, you will return along the same path to take the bus back to Puerto Natales, closing this unique experience with a flourish.

Activities: Trekking of 7-9 hours, 19.5 km.

Return: Puerto Natales.
